Puberty and Relationship Issues

We are delighted to announce that Juliana Slobodian an independent consultant and expert in puberty and relationship issues, will be running two workshops for Angels on the issues surrounding puberty for our children on:

Thursday 18th March
during the day in Hitchin : 12.30- 2.30pm
and in the evening in Stevenage : 7 - 9pm

Treasurer Vacancy

Could you, or someone you know, be Angels' new Treasurer?

As our charity has expanded we have reached the stage where we would like to separate the current role of the Treasurer into two parts. One role will be the day to day financial management including bookkeeping, settling expenses, producing budgets, reports, accounts etc. The other role will be the strategic overseeing role required by the Charity Commission.

We are looking for a volunteer to take over the strategic role of Treasurer. You would be a Trustee of the Angels charity, and therefore the role must be unpaid. Due to the size of the Charity ideally we would like someone with either an accountancy qualification or an equivalent strong financial background. You will need to be happy overseeing reports/ budgets produced by the financial manager and be able to use these to help the trustees make strategic decisions.

You will need to regularly attend committee meetings which are currently held approx. every 2 months on a Friday during the day. You will also need to work closely with the financial manager to ensure that the charity is run in an efficient, effective way and complies with all relevant legislation.
